Warranty

Lifetime Warranty on Murphy Bed pistons and mechanism, should either fail, the customer should return those parts to Lancaster Handcraft for replacement. If we are called to the site for non warranty issues, standard billing rates apply.

Murphy Bed side cabinets and other home furnishings:

We guarantee that the piece will be as advertised at the time of delivery. Drawers will work. Doors will work. Shelves will fit. We do not guarantee against the wood cracking or warping after it is in your home as these issues have to do with the environment in your home (too dry or too moist). Chair legs coming loose in your home is also excluded as this is usually due to abuse or to dry conditions. LED lighting kits have a 1-year limited warranty on the parts and the replacement will be mailed.

If you have any issue with a piece of furniture that has been delivered, it must be returned with delivery person at the time of delivery in order to have it delivered again for free. If delivery person leaves you can still have it repaired or replaced but you will have to pay for all shipping costs.

Delivery and Installation

We deliver and install to parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. We service Washington DC and all of it's surrounding towns and suburbs as well as the 5 boroughs of New York City. (For more information on our installation zone see the Nationwide Shipping page).

If you are in our installation zone and opt for delivery only, our staff will blanket, load, deliver and install your order in a timely, efficient, professional manner. Rest assured knowing the craftsman that made your Murphy bed, or kitchen cabinets will be the one installing it so you’ll know it’s done right!

Shipping Procedures

For orders outside our delivery radius Lancaster Handcraft uses common carriers with tractor trailer trucks. Customers can choose curbside delivery or the furniture can be picked up at the nearest freight terminal. Furniture is boxed and palletized. The shipping truck will use a lift gate to lower the pallet as close to your home as possible. This distance is at the discretion of the shipping company. It is the customers responsibility to inspect the boxes, take the boxes off the pallet and carry into their home. Because of the size and weight of our furniture it is strongly advisable to have help to unload the and bring it inside. Terminal pickup requests need to be arranged prior to shipping. Shipments will be scheduled upon final payment. Customers will be sent a Bill of Lading prior to their shipment for their final approval.

Payment

Lancaster Handcraft requires 50% of the invoice total at the time you place the order. This payment can be made via check, credit card or through Quickbook's secure online bank transfer. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card for half of your total. The remaining 50% is paid by check or bank transfer once we have completed the project and it’s ready to ship. For orders that require installation services, we accept the remaining balance paid by check on the day of the install. There is a 3% service fee added for balances paid by credit card. For balances required credit card payment, you must contact us in advance to arrange payment and payment must be made prior to installation or shipping. There is a 25% restocking on cancelled orders.
